. Just gimme that Rock 'n' Roll Music

As an increasing number of halls and discos thump to the unremitting techno beat and the kids hip-hop to various forms of electronically induced trance music, the foot-tappin' rhythms and singable tunes of the glory days of rock 'n' roll still call the heart to beat a little faster and the memories of those good times bring back the smiles on our faces.

The classics of the 60's like the unbeatable 'Johnny B. Goode' and 'Roll over Beethoven', from the father of Rock 'n' Roll, Chuck Berry. And who can resist the raw power of "Gimme some lovin'" or "Born to be Wild"?

Carrying the legacy into the 70's the Stones hit the world with two rock anthems, 'Honk Tonk Women' and 'Brown Sugar'. The era of classic rock opened with Clapton, Deep Purple and, of course, the unmistakable sound of Status Quo. Just the first few notes of the monster hit 'Caroline' bursting out of the radio will get any fingers tapping on the steering wheel.

With such a variety of styles and sounds, from Dire Straits to ZZ Top, everyone has a favourite rocksong.

Time Travellers

In 1966 a new band hit the Baden Beat scene. 'Les Travellers' were by far the best known beat group of their generation and in those heady days of the sixties they went on to play many open-air concerts and were well supported in the clubs and venues of Aargau and Zürich.

In '85 the band got back together in the original line-up to revive all those old hits, much to the delight of their fans.
Two original members moved on to other things and their replacements have brought with them a renewed energy and dynamic, and a new name.

30 years down the road ROCK66 keeps the spirit of the early days of rock 'n' roll and mixes it up with a drive tovvards a faithful and energetic presentation of the songs we love to hear.

Cafe de Grand Places

This is the third visit by the band to this Fribourg venue, a stage which Stands high on the list of favourite gigs. Both the '91 and '93 shows had audiences dancing and singing along with some solid hits from all our golden years.
With a modernised and more spacious 'Grand Places' we are
unlikely to see any more dancing on the tables, but there's plenty
of floor space and two well-served bars.
Grab all your friends and come and enjoy the atmosphere and inake this the best show of all.

Marly Folies
Now into it's llth year, this is a major highlight on the Fribourgeois calander. Not even the annual downpour of rain can dampen the spirits at this fest which attracts visitors from all^ over the canton and beyond. For^ the first time ROCK66 will be live on stage on Saturday night in the inain marquee. We Start at 21:00 and will be playing into the early hours. You should get there early and inake sure you have a seat with a clear view of the stage.
Come and party with the band and help us to make this a big night to remember!

30-Year Celebration

The band plans to celebrate big-time this year with the longest list of concerts so far. The absolute peak of the year's' activities is expected to happen at the massive 'Badenerfahrt' street festival, where up to a million visitors are expected. ROCK66 is scheduled to make 3 separate appearances.

Baden holds the roots of the band and saw it emerge from the beat scene to become a major contributor to the musical heritage of the area. The 'Bluus Beiz' gig of '91 goes down äs one of the highlights of the Badenfahrt. This year will see speciaJ guests and big surprises on stage. Reserve some time this August to come and party with the band and the home crowd. We'd love to see you there.
